Dental Implants

Are you missing one or more teeth? If so, dental implants are an excellent solution for long-lasting tooth replacement. Not only do they provide durable, natural-looking results using titanium posts implanted into your jawbone, but they also require no dietary restrictions and are built to last for life.

Dr. Haidari has completed extensive training in the placement of dental implants, and is well-versed in a variety of implant systems. We offer the following dental implant systems at Clayton Dental Group:

Dental implants are designed to provide a foundation for replacement teeth that look, feel, and function like natural teeth. The person who has lost teeth regains the ability to eat virtually anything and can smile with confidence, knowing that teeth appear natural and that facial contours will be preserved. The implants are tiny titanium posts that are placed into the jaw bone where teeth are missing. The bone bonds with the titanium, creating a strong foundation for artificial teeth. In addition, dental implants can help preserve facial structure, preventing the bone deterioration which occurs when teeth are missing.

And when you are missing one or more teeth, dental implants may be the best solution for getting your complete, functional smile back. Dr. Haidari will work with you to ensure a healthy, long-lasting smile that you love!

Bone Grafting

To help the jaw better support a dental implant, Dr. Haidari uses specialized treatments such as natural bone regeneration (also known as grafting). With this safe and effective treatment option, you can protect your oral health, properly support a dental implant, and promote the long-term functionality of your smile.

Sinus Lift

Sinus lift surgery, or maxillary elevation, allows your dentist to open up space within the sinus to support the placement of dental implants. Sinus lift surgery can also be performed with bone grafting if there are bone height concerns with dental implant placement. Dr. Haidari uses precise techniques to improve the size of the sinus wall, allowing a more secure dental implant placement.

Ridge Augmentation

Ridge augmentation after a tooth extraction is vital to a healthy dental recovery. This procedure helps recreate the natural shape of your gums and jawbone, making it possible to use dentures or receive dental implants. With the ridge augmentation procedure, the missing tooth socket is filled with a soft plate of gum tissue that becomes part of your jawbone.

Ridge augmentation procedures, or ridge augmentation grafts, help to recreate a natural bone and gum ridge. In addition, these procedures can:

  • Improve aesthetic appearance.
  • Increase stability for long-term function and oral health.
  • Reduce gaps between the gums and dental restorations.

Tooth Extractions

Tooth extractions involve the removal of a damaged or diseased tooth. They are often performed to address infection or decay that can compromise the structure and function of neighboring teeth.

Dr. Haidari provides extractions for patients experiencing pain and discomfort, dental emergencies, infection, or damage beyond repair. In some cases, a surgical extraction may be required, but simple extractions are also performed if the tooth appears above the gum line. Before any extraction, Dr. Haidari will administer a dental exam and take digital x-rays to determine the extent of the damage. He can even perform a dental extraction at the same appointment as a dental implant placement, to save you time in the dentist's chair.

Wisdom Tooth Removal

At Concord, CA, we perform all different types of wisdom tooth removal surgeries, including those on impacted wisdom teeth. These procedures can include simple extractions (where the teeth are removed) and more complex ones that require incisions and plates to hold the jawbone in place while it heals. Dr. Haidari will use his advanced diagnostic tools to determine when it's healthiest for you or your child to undergo this common procedure.

Frenectomy

frenectomy patient smiling at Clayton Dental GroupA frenectomy is the surgical removal of a frenum, a naturally occurring muscle attachment usually seen between the front teeth (either upper or lower). The shape of a frenum pulls on the gum tissue and can result in recession. In some cases, an excessively large frenum can prevent the teeth from coming together, resulting in a gap between the front teeth. If pulling is seen or the frenum is too large to allow the teeth to come together, the frenum is surgically removed with a frenectomy, a simple, non-invasive procedure that can be completed in a short visit to our Concord dental office.

In some cases, removing a frenulum or frenum that is abnormally short, thick, and tight may be required as part of orthodontic treatment. If a patient's frenulum is excessively tight, it can interfere with the movement of the teeth. Removing an abnormal frenum will increase stability and improve the success of the final orthodontic result.
